Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church

It has been 85 years since Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church in San Diego, California, joined together as a community to worship in the local high school while looking for a permanent location to serve their members. Land was purchased, buildings were erected and service to the community grew. The education building and Family Life Center became resources for many, allowing the church to live their mission. Due to many years of heavy use, the sacred spaces of the sanctuary and other facilities need improvements and updating so that Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church can continue the many ministries and programs that so many have come to rely on over the years. A new preschool building, playground, and updates for accessibility and security will allow children to safely and conveniently be cared for and educated for years to come.

A Steier Group planning study assisted the leadership of PLCPC to assess the landscape to manage the process of raising funds in the great task ahead of the community. Through our hands-on campaign management model, the Generation to Generation Capital Campaign was uniquely crafted to inspire the community with creative fundraising strategies. With expert grant writers, world-class graphic design, and all necessary services provided in-house, partnering with the Steier Group allowed Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church to exceed goal and move forward with creating a facility that will serve for generations to come.
